Kings of Leon to perform at first-ever concert at Sounds stadium

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – It was announced Thursday that Kings of Leon will perform at the first-ever concert at the Nashville Sounds stadium later this year.

The announcement was made at First Tennessee Park, which opened just two years ago, in 2015.

“We’re very excited to bring Kings of Leon in as the first major concert event in the history of First Tennessee Park,” Sounds General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Adam Nuse said. “To bring in a renowned group back home is a thrilling way to showcase this beautiful park.”

The first-ever concert at the ballpark will be held on Friday, Sept. 29.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be the first act to play First Tennessee Park,” Jared Followill of Kings of Leon said. “It’s always special for us to play our hometown, but being the first, in such an awesome venue, is going to be something we’ll never forget.”

Tickets to the show go on sale April 21 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Tickets are $89.50 for general admission field and $89.50 and $69.50 for reserved seating, plus applicable fees.

The show will be held rain or shine.
