Predators rally past Ducks 2-1 in Western Conference Final

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Roman Josi scored late in the third period, and the Nashville Predators beat Anaheim 2-1 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final at Bridgestone Arena.

Tied at 1-1 in the third, the Ducks Chris Wagner was called for a high stick in the offensive zone, putting the Predators on the power play.

Nashville had been 0 for its last 15 power plays, but Josi ended that skid with only 2:43 left to play. It was Josi’s fifth goal of the playoffs, extending his franchise record for goals by a defenseman.

After a scoreless first period, Anaheim took a 1-0 lead in the second period when Corey Perry bounced one in off the skate of Pekka Rinne. Rinne made 19 saves for the game.

Nashville came out on fire in the third period, and only 3:54 into the period Filip Forsberg scored for the third straight game to tie it up at 1-1. Ryan Ellis assisted on the goal, recording his 10th point of the playoffs, setting a postseason franchise record for defensemen.

The Predators lead the series (2-1) with Game 4 Thursday at 7 p.m. in Nashville.
